Dear Community Members,
Welcome to Week 4!
It was fantastic to see so many of our Parents attend the Parent Information Night last Tuesday evening. Over 100 parents were able to share in the showcasing of student learning across our newly developed Learning Teams. Your attendance was highly valued and very much appreciated.
The information that teachers provided to parents was professional and extremely well presented in every way. It is events like these that make us proud of who we are here at Dominican and a true example of showing how we can ‘be the best we can be’ and what ‘achieving new levels of excellence’ looks like.
The School Board Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 29 March here at school in the Multi Function Centre and you are all warmly invited to attend. I have asked Craig Tonkin our Architect from Brown Falconer Architects to share elements of our Master Plan. Craig is looking forward to sharing this information with the community and those in attendance will have the opportunity to share ideas with Craig.
I had the privilege to present our Year 6 Senior Students with their 2021 Sports Tops last Friday at our Assembly. This was a great opportunity to speak with our senior students about their role as senior leaders of our school. I asked some of our senior students to share with us what it means to be a leader at Dominican School. Please open the link below to hear what they have to say!
I wish these students all the very best as they lead our student community in 2021.
Have a great week!
Kind regards
Phil Holmes
