Individual Approach to Learning

We work in partnership with families to ensure the needs of each child are supported in order for them to thrive in their learning and be the best they can be.

At Dominican School, our aim is to recognise, foster, and nurture the unique talents of every child, shaping them into self-assured individuals who will venture into the world with a deep sense of self and community.

Personalised Learning Journeys

At Dominican School, we understand that every student is unique. That's why we tailor our teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of our learners. Whether through small group instruction, one-on-one mentoring, or project-based learning, we strive to create personalised learning journeys that inspire curiosity and ignite a passion for learning in every student.

We are committed to ensuring that every child who walks through our doors has the support, resources, and encouragement they need to succeed. Our teaching and learning practices are designed not only to impart knowledge but also to empower students to become confident, critical thinkers who are ready to tackle the challenges of tomorrow.

Enrichment Program: Nurturing Excellence

At Dominican School, we believe in empowering every student to reach their fullest potential. Our Enrichment Program is designed to provide a dynamic and enriching learning experience for our highly abled students. We recognise that these students thrive when presented with challenges that stimulate their intellect and creativity.

The Enrichment Program is not just about individual achievement but a platform for collaboration and teamwork. Students are encouraged to work together on projects that require diverse perspectives, fostering a sense of camaraderie and collective achievement.

In the fast-paced world of today, critical thinking and creativity are essential skills. Our programs, a Year 1 – 3 program and a Year 4 – 6 program, are carefully crafted to nurture these skills through engaging activities and projects led by teachers who have engaged in tailoring experiences for Gifted Education. Students are encouraged to think beyond boundaries, exploring new ideas and perspectives.

In the Enrichment Program, students encounter real-world challenges that require innovative solutions. Whether it's a scientific puzzle, a mathematical conundrum, or an artistic endeavor, students are guided through the process of solving problems creatively. This not only sharpens their problem-solving abilities but also instills confidence in their capabilities. The Enrichment programs are not just about academic excellence but has a distinct focus on holistic growth. Students develop leadership skills, learn the value of perseverance, and gain a deeper understanding of their potential. These experiences go beyond the classroom, shaping well-rounded individuals ready to excel in a rapidly changing world.
